The Way the Truth and the Life

Almost everyone has heard the expression ‘The Way the Truth and the Life’ but if you ask the average man in the street what it means you’ll more than likely be met with a vacant stare. Indeed if you ask 10 priests what it means you’ll get 10 different answers.
‘I am the way the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know Him and have seen Him.’ John Chapter 14 verse 6.
If you’ve read everything on this site you will know exactly what Jesus meant by that. It’s a pity though that he let people think it applied only to him, if he ever said it, but knowing how doesn’t answer the question, ‘What does it mean?’ so here’s an eleventh opinion:
‘The Way’ means the way to do it, or the plan for achieving the purpose of our existence.
‘The truth’ is the Messianic Law, which takes away the sins of the world – literally.
The Catholic Church will have you believe that a priest has the power to absolve your sins provided that you are prepared to humiliate yourself by revealing them to him in ‘Confession’. The purpose of this mythical claim is to enslave believers to the power of the priest and the Catholic Church. And for those who have already decided that I am (because of my comments about Catholicism) a dyed-in-the-wool Protestant let me say that I am not, I was born into a fanatically religious Roman Catholic family and I am an ex-seminarian.
So the truth is the scientific law which proves that you cannot sin because you are programmed to pursue happiness. This new realization ipso facto sets us all free from the threats of Religious Institutionism and its vested interest in maintaining and sustaining the myth that you will suffer eternal damnation for not believing them.
The life is the purpose for your existence – happiness – which is proven unequivocally by the Messianic Law.
