Sins Forgiven.

A Catholic enters the confessional box and there verbally discloses all sins which s/he has committed since the last confession. The priest traditionally issues a mild rebuke and – providing the sins are not so serious – asks the penitent so say perhaps three Hail Marys as a penance and then ‘absolves’ the sins.

How does the penitent know for sure that the sins truly are forgiven? S/he doesn’t, it’s an act of faith and as we know Faith for the Catholic Church is of the essence, it is everything. Convince a gullible person that Faith is an absolute necessity for salvation and that person becomes putty in the hands.

Jesus said (maybe) ‘Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven’ What he certainly didn’t say was, ‘Whose sins a man born 2000 years from now forgives they are forgiven’ What else he didn’t say was, ‘When a person comes to you and relates in fine detail all his/her sins you may ask them to say 3 Hail Mary’s and then you can forgive them’. Nor did he say, ‘Providing that they are truly sorry’ All he said was, ‘Whose sins you shall forgive’ which means that the Apostles could forgive anybody whether or not they were sorry and no matter how serious the transgression but he did not authorize any one else to forgive sins. It was the Catholic Church that took upon itself that ethereal and mystical power. A power for which there is not a word a comma, or a full stop of evidence to support its authentication which means that the Catholic priest has no more power or authority to forgive sins than has your milkman.

Another of the Catholic Church’s party tricks to empower its priests and therefore the entire Church with illusion is the remainder of items on the list of their so-called Sacraments the greatest of which, meaning the biggest con, is the ‘Sacrament of Holy Eucharist’ Don’t you think it’s time we hit that one on the head so that no one can be threatened by it ever again?

At the Last Supper Jesus took bread, blessed it and said, ‘Take this and eat it, for this is my body. Do this in memory of me’ There was no song and dance about it, John the Evangelist didn’t even mention it and the other three – well, they all copied their Gospels either from each other, two from the other one or all three from another source, (the evidence for this is so bountiful that not even the Catholic Church denies it.) But by the time that simple request of a little ceremony to remember him by reached me in my Primary school it had evolved into ‘Do this at least once a year at Easter or burn in Hell for Eternity’ The evidence that it’s a cock-n-bull story?

Hundreds of years after the ‘Last Supper’ the Catholic Church realized it could get some mileage out of that pronouncement so stated that when the priest holds up the bread and says, ‘This is my body’ it literally changes into the ‘body blood soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ’ and to be sure that everyone understood that this was the absolute unequivocal truth they (Yeah, you’ve got it) threatened everybody who didn’t believe it with eternal damnation (the threat remains to this day) and for good measure burned a few of the doubters at the stake.

So let’s put an end to this nonsense once and for all shall we?

Earlier on this website I explained how with faith alone you can move mountains. The reason is because the value of everything is the value of thoughts, no thoughts no existence no anything. It is the mind that creates, it is the mind that gives value which means that you are the Creation, you are the Lord of it.

Each of us comes into the world via the womb of a woman in a tiny vessel which you came to accept, know, understand, believe, delude is your physical body. It has five senses and a brain which collude from the day of entry in the process of creation. You can see, hear, taste, smell, feel but all is illusion which is the product of interaction between the senses and the brain. It looks like your mother, smells like your mother, feels like your mother, tastes like your mother and sounds like your mother but she is a product of light waves, sound waves brain waves, eliminate them and your mother is no more or never was.

Whatever we believe a human being is, it certainly is not, the reality is illusion, illusion is our reality.

So when the priest holds up a piece of bread it looks like, feels like, tastes like, smells like and sounds like bread. So what is it? It is thoughts, it is illusion. You want your illusion of a piece of bread to be the illusion of Jesus Christ then go ahead but it is still illusion. The reason why God gave us five senses and a brain is to enable us to create our cosmos of illusion.

It looks like, tastes like, smells like, feels like and sounds like a piece of bread then the illusion it creates in the human mind is that it’s a piece of bread now if you can be persuaded that it is the body blood soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ then by all means feel free but for those who can’t, myself included, it is an act of dishonesty to believe it because whatever you choose to believe it is or whatever your mind can rustle it up to be it is only a thought and I for my part am not going to let the Catholic Church control my life by frightening me into believing whatever it is in their interest to make me believe which is what they have done for centuries. The Catholic Church I believe, is a terrorist organization and all the illusion of an altruistic nature which they have managed to conjure up for themselves over the centuries to conceal the fact is but evidence of deception. By that I am not claiming that the Catholic Church is knowingly and wittingly trying in this day and age to deceive people but I am saying that because of its Messianic Law nature it is not even aware of the extent of the harm it does. Someone once said ‘It is not the wicked popes that have done most harm to the Catholic Church, but the Holy ones’ By that he meant; because wicked men can be seen to be wicked their perfidious nature can be recognized and acted against, but the ‘Holy’ ones do their damage and go to their graves leaving behind a legacy of damage which sows and reaps disaster long after pepetrators are gone. Anyone who knows anything about Pope Gregory VII will understand what I mean by this.

I have no idea what the Catholic Church teaches children in school these days except that whatever it is, is garnished with all sorts of delusion in the form of altruism to make the Church look good but 50 years ago when I was a boy the Church was guilty through their teachings of child abuse. ‘You will burn in hell for eternity’ they threatened for ‘not going church on Sundays’ among other things, whilst concurrently teaching that God is infinitely fair, merciful and loving. Talk about having their cake and eating it.

I would lie in my bed at night, sweat oozing from every pore at the thought that I might not make it through the night, I might wake up with a bang and find myself in Hell. Crazy isn’t it? But when your mother, father, grandparents teachers and everyone who means anything to you teach the same thing it’s not surprising that children believe it. Do I blame them? Not at all, they believed it themselves because they too were victims they too believed.

But I do blame the conmen at the top of the pile, the ones who knew and know it is all lies the same ones who burned people at the stake for not agreeing with them. Were they wrong to do that? Ask the pope, he’ll say, ‘Yes they were wrong but they were people of their time, that was the world they lived in.’ What an excuse and what irony, agreeing in order to gain Browny points but refusing to acknowledge that the traditions upon which the Church is founded and rests is proof that the edifice is a hoax.

Just a few days ago Pope Benedict XV1 made an official pilgrimage to Poland where he visited Auschwitz, there he prayed, ‘Where were you Father, when all this evil was going on?’ What does that tell you? It tells you he doesn’t know. An infallible Pope with a hotline to the Holy Spirit doesn’t know the answer to that question. Let him study this site and then he will know. Take away the Catholic Church’s bag of bullshit and what are you left with?
